More than three dozen airlines offer flights to Scotland from North American and European cities. Although many flights are via London, there are a growing number of direct international flights to Scotland as well, some on a year-round basis and others in the summer months only. Airlines providing service from North America to Scotland include Icelandair, Air Canada, American Airlines, British Airways, Continental Airlines, Delta and U.S. Airways.

The British Airports Authority, Britain's largest airport authority, provides information on Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen airports, including how to get there, maps of the terminals, airline contact numbers and public transport facilities. You can find out about flights, taxis, car hire, contact information and more for Barra, Benbecula, Campbeltown, Inverness, Islay, Kirkwall, Stornoway, Sumburgh, Tiree and Wick airports by visiting the Highlands and Islands Airports Web site. Glasgow Prestwick International Airport, 32 miles from Glasgow, is Scotland's fastest growing airport, and its Web site provides a variety of helpful information from transportation options to Glasgow to flight information.
